PTR Prepares for "2003 DRiB-L Community Day"
On Saturday, June 28 DRiB-L will be teaming up with Push the Rock (PTR) Outfitters to organize the 1st Annual DRiB-L Community Day. The event is expected to bring in up to 2,000 people for an evening filled with food, contests, give-away prizes, interactive basketball stations, an appearance by the 76ers Mascot Hip Hop, and a motivational talk by PTR Outfitters President, Robb Holman. The Community Day’s primary purpose is to impact children in a positive way through character building and entertainment, while providing an outlet where local businesses can show their support. "This day will bring the community together, both young and old says DRiB-L Chairman, Brian Manning, "Our hope is to provide a fun-filled day for all, around a game we love to watch and play." The event will be from 5-10pm, and will draw many local, and regional high school and college players and coaches. PTR Outfits Team Quickie Wheelchair Basketball Tournament
On the weekend of Friday, May 30, 2003 Push the Rock Outfitters became the "Exclusive Hoop Gear Provider" of the Annual DK 3v3 Basketball tournament, presented by Team Quickie. David Kiley (DK) is dubbed the " Bo Jackson of Wheelchair sports," and has risen to the top of every sport in which he has competed. DK is a world-class athlete, who’s accomplishments include, Paralympic gold medals in snow skiing, basketball and tennis. He has also won 6 MVP awards from the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA). Quickie is the leading wheelchair brand in the industry, while Team Quickie is a global sponsorship program with lawyers, therapists, judges, company owners, motivational speakers, and sport icons that are all very involved within the industry.


PTR Partners with Local Community Summer League
On February 24, 2003 Robert J. Holman, President of Push the Rock (PTR) Outfitters, announced the 2003 partnership between Push the Rock and DRiB-L. PTR Outfitters will be the Exclusive hoop gear provider for all DRiB-L basketball apparel, while providing support to all community-related events and/or programs. Holman states, "Now with two strong community driven organizations joining forces, the sky’s the limit. Not to mention the positive imprint this will leave on basketball players for years to come." PTR Supports 2003 NBA All-Star Event
On Friday, February 7 from 12-2PM, during the NBA All-All-Star Weekend in Atlanta, PTR Outfitters was supporting a special event program called, Basketball: "The Game On and Off the Court". This event was presented and hosted by KD Communications, a privately held, full service communications firm. "The Game On and Off the Court" is a grass-roots educational forum discussing the numerous career options in the sports industry. One of the main objectives of this program is to expose and reveal several professions available within "arms-reach" of our youth. It’s all about career options and possibilities. PTR President, Robert Holman, was one of 15 guest panelists that shared with the children about respect, professionalism, hard-work, and leadership. KD Communications is about to take "The Game" on a 20 City Tour, with the help of Ex-NBA All-Star, Dennis Scott and his program entitled, For the Love of the Game.


PTR Teams up with Big Time Ballers, Inc.
Push the Rock Outfitters will be teaming up in 2003 with a Basketball Company in Wilkes-Barre, PA called Big Time Ballers, Inc. Big Time Ballers is an organization that runs camps and tournaments in NEPA, which has brought in over 300 teams to various tournaments and over 200 kids to its camps in 2002. The Firm A.C. is an AAU program that is owned and operated by Big Time Ballers, and currently holds 15 teams. The next Tournament hosted by Big Ballers, Inc., and sponsored by Push the Rock Outfitters, will be the 5th Annual Who Got Game Tournament: Please see below for details:

PTR Places Team in the EBA
Push the Rock Outfitters announced recently that it has placed a traveling all-star team in the Eastern Basketball Alliance (EBA) for the 2003 basketball season. The team name is PA Push the Rock, and will consist of professional players in the North Eastern Region that are looking for Overseas and NBA opportunities. "This is a chance to give players an opportunity, while exemplifying the core values and qualities of PTR", said PTR President Robert Holman. Push the Rock’s first game is Saturday, January 18, 7PM against the Delaware Express.


PTR Named Official Outfitter of the EBA and WEBA
Dick Anzolut, President of the Eastern Basketball Alliance (EBA) and the new Women’s Eastern Basketball Alliance (WEBA), announced that Push the Rock Outfitters would serve as the Official Outfitter for both leagues in 2003. PTR President, Robert Holman said, " Push the Rock was selected as the Official Outfitter of the EBA in 2002, and now with the addition of the WEBA it is a natural fit that we expand the relationship into the Women’s Arena." The EBA is the longest running professional basketball Minor League in the United States. The League has a total of seven teams, representing four states in the North Eastern Region. The EBA allows aspiring players an opportunity to showcase their skills and talents in a highly competitive league. The EBA is a training ground for the NBA and Overseas Basketball. Many EBA franchises now have WEBA teams, which allows for maximum exposure in the Women’s market.


RGI Sports to Operate PA Push the Rock
Push the Rock Outfitters has selected the Richmond Group International, LLC (RGI Sports) to operate their professional basketball franchise. PA Push the Rock is the name of the traveling all-star team that will compete in Eastern Basketball Alliance (EBA). RGI was founded in 1998 by brothers Joseph and Michael Richmond. RGI provides a wide range of basketball related services to corporations and individuals. RGI also provides sports consulting services to businesses, operates a basketball camp for players interested in playing internationally, sponsors a basketball touring team and conducts officiating seminars. PTR Becomes Title Sponsor for PAC Playoffs
Push the Rock Outfitters will once again be Corporate Partners with the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC). This partnership will enable PTR Outfitters to be the Title Sponsor of the PAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments for the 2002-03 season. "We are excited about the expanded relationship we have with Push the Rock Outfitters," said PAC Commissioner Tom Bonerbo. We look forward working with them in this new venture. With the support of PTR, I am sure we’ll have our best postseason yet." This relationship will officially be announced during PAC Basketball Media Day on Monday, October 28, 2002 at Cabrini College in Pennsylvania.


PTR Supports DJJ Productions Celebrity Basketball Game
DJJ Productions will be holding it’s first annual Celebrity Basketball Game Benefit on Saturday, October 12, 2002 at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey. The idea behind the first year event is to help bridge the gap between education, sports and entertainment. Founder of DJJ productions, David Jefferson, Jr., is an established actor, and entertainer who is most noted for his football character, "Cook" in the movie, Remember the Titans. A positive press conference will be held at 11AM on the day of the event followed by the Celebrity Basketball Game Benefit at 3PM, and concluded by the presentation of awards. Push the Rock Outfitters has teamed up with DJJ Productions by providing give-away packages for the Celebrity game.


PTR Team Member seen in SLAM Magazine
Long-time PTR Team member, and former WNBA player, Tora Suber, was spotted in the November addition of SLAM Magazine. Suber, who played two years for the Charlotte Sting, and one year for the Orlando Miracle, is now working her way back into the league. She recently won MVP of the West 4th Street Women’s Pro Classic all-star game in NYC. Suber who has been out of the league for 3 years, has been plagued with a torn MCL, a ripped calf muscle, and a partial tear in her Achilles tendon. The 1997 University of Virginia graduate is now healthy, driven, and focused towards completing her mission of competing against the best Women’s players in the world.

Hoop Gear Outfitter for RGI Sports
On July 3, 2002 Push the Rock Outfitters became the Exclusive Hoop Gear Outfitter for the Richmond Group International, LLC. (RGI). RGI was founded in 1998 by brothers Joseph and Michael Richmond. RGI provides a wide range of basketball related services to corporations and individuals and, among other things, provides sports consulting services to businesses, operates a basketball camp for players interested in playing internationally, sponsors an international basketball touring team and conducts officiating seminars. PTR Supports Inner-City Youth
During WNBA All-Star Weekend
On Friday, July 12 from 12-2PM, Robert J. Holman, President of Push the Rock Outfitters was speaking to over 200 inner-city youth in Washington DC over the WNBA All-Star Weekend. Holman, along with others, were supporting a special event program called, Basketball: "The Game On and Off the Court". The event was presented by the ESPN Zone and KD Communications. "The Game On and Off the Court" is a grass-roots educational forum discussing the numerous career options in the sports industry. Exposing/revealing several professions available within "arms-reach" of our youth. It’s all about career options and possibilities. PTR President to Give Local Motivational Talk
CEO/President, Robert J. Holman, of Push the Rock Outfitters will be speaking in Downingtown, Pennsylvania in front of over 1,000 basketball players (youth and adults) on Saturday, August 3 from 6-7PM. Holman will be challenging players with the message: "Getting Respect on and Off the Court". His highly motivational style and his desire to help children believe in themselves has made him a dynamic speaker that is timely for today’s youth, parents and coaches. He will also be stressing the importance of Self-Confidence, good work habits, perseverance, discipline, and encouragement. This event is being hosted by Drib-l, a Downingtown area Summer Basketball League that has over 1,600 participants.

PTR Announces its Summer Involvement
with Kids First, Inc.
Push the Rock Outfitters will once again be sponsoring a Kids First, Inc. program: "Give & Go 2002" Summer Basketball Camps. The camps will run in July-August and the ages of the camp are 5-7, 8-9, 10-12, and 13-14 years co-ed. Each camper will be given a PTR® hoop gear package for their participation during the week. Kids First, Inc. is an organization that focuses on children’s social, emotional, and physical development through basketball clinics, camps, leagues, private coaching, and motivational speaking. The coaches believe that an emphasis on teamwork in an encouraging and motivational environment helps children believe in themselves and in each other. Kids First, Inc. also believes that self-confidence, good work ethics, and a great attitude make better players and better people. PTR Named Official Outfitter of the EBA

PTR Teams up with the NWBA for NBA All-Star Weekend
On February 6, in Philadelphia, the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) organized a clinic for youth wheelchair basketball players and held practice for the NBA/NWBA All-Stars. The NWBA has 22 NBA affiliated teams and the All-Stars from around the league helped out at the clinic. Hand chosen All-Stars from the East and West were all wearing the latest Team PTR hoop gear during the 3-hour event and media interview sessions. On Thursday February 7, the NBA/NWBA All-Star game was held at the main floor of NBA Jam Session at the Philadelphia Convention Center. The All-Star game was the 4thoverall contest, dating back to 1998 when NWBA players were featured for the first time at the NBA All-Star Weekend in New York City. PTR Team Members were present at both events to show their support and also to help the NWBA gain the respect they so deserve. Others that were involved and showed support throughout the events were: Ex-NBA Greats: Nate "Tiny" Archibald, Fat Lever, Bob Lanier and Billy Cunningham; WNBA Players: Nikki McCray, Ruth Riley, Tamika Catchings and Kelly Gibson; NBA Commissioner David Stern and Philly Mayor John Street were also present.


Team PTR Supports "i’m committed" Youth Charity
On February 7 in Philadelphia, Team PTR helped support a Pre-NBA All-Star Weekend party that benefited a Philly based non-profit organization called "i’m committed" (i.c.). i.c. arranges camps, tourney’s and personal appearances hosted by professional athletes. Some local celebrities, such as Brian Mitchell, of the Philadelphia Eagles were on hand for the 4-hour event. The party’s main focus was towards its silent auction that showcased paintings, autographed basketballs, jersey’s and books, as well as a Push the Rock hoop gear package that individuals could bid on throughout the evening. The night was a huge success, and with the proceeds going to i.c., it will only help give at-risk youths the opportunity to experience basketball the way it should be experienced!


PTR sponsors PAC ball player of the week for 2002 (December 2001)
PTR Outfitters will be sponsoring the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) player of the week for both Men and Women throughout the 2002 college basketball season. PTR "Street-wear" Collection in stores—Spring 2002 (December 2001)
The new PTR "Street-wear" Collection is due out Spring 2002, and will be available in many US retail stores. This collection will include tees, shorts, and hats geared towards the true ball player. The "Street-wear" Collection will be for the Spring/Summer 2002 season.


76ers mascot Hip Hop names PTR
official outfitter for his Dunk Squad

The Philadelphia 76ers are the defending Eastern Conference Champions. Hip Hop, the Sixers mascot, is known around the NBA as the most electrifying acrobatic dunker in the league. Recently, Hip Hop named Push the Rock the official outfitter for his Dunk Squad. Hip Hop and his dunk team travel around throughout the year to give private dunk shows that leave spectators on the edge of their seats. The team is seen at these shows wearing PTR hoop gear. PTR/PAC Media Day Scheduled (October 2001)
Push the Rock Outfitters will be attending the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) Annual Basketball Media Day on Monday, October 29, 2001 at Arcadia University. PTR Outfitters CEO/President Robert Holman will be present to speak about the new PTR/PAC relationship. PTR Outfitters is solidifying its role as the exclusive practice gear provider for many of the colleges in the PAC. The media, athletic directors, and university/college coaches, will be on hand for this event.


PTR Sponsors Kids First Inc.’s 2002 Basketball Program (October 2001)
For the fourth year in a row, Push the Rock Outfitters is sponsoring Kids First Inc.’s fall and winter basketball programs in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Alley ‘Oop 2002 is most recent program offered by Kids First Inc., and involves fundamental learning clinics and competitive leagues for children of all ages. All participants will receive exclusive PTR® reversible mesh tanks, shorts, and a certificate of participation.


"Respect Starts Here tm" Essay Contest announced (October 2001)
In a 500 word essay, tell PTR Outfitters what Respect means to you and why it is important on and off the basketball court. Essay deadline is November 30, 2001. The winner will be phoned by December, 21, 2001. The winning writer will receive a PTR hoop gear package and the essay will be published on PushtheRock.com in 2002!

PTR CEO/President plays against the 76ers (July 2001)
On July 15, 2001 at 1PM, Robb Holman played on the Baker League All-Star team against the Philadelphia 76ers. Holman, currently CEO and President of Push the Rock Outfitters, is actively pursuing workouts with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Orlando Magic. The Baker League All-Stars lost this competitive game 114-104 at Temple University’s McGonigle Hall in front of a packed house of over 5,000 fans. Speedy Claxton had 20 points for the Sixers and Raja Bell added 18.


PTR 3 vs 3 Tournament Scheduled (July 2001)
Push the Rock Outfitters and WNBA player and PTR spokesperson, Tora Suber are hosting a 3 vs 3 Tournament in Downingtown, Pennsylvania in September. They are expecting over 300 participants with a 10-12 year division, 13-15 year division, 16-17 year division, and an 18 + open age division. All divisions will be co-ed. Awards will be given to all championship teams and PTR hoop gear will be sold. NBA and WNBA players will be present at the event.


PTR seen on Raptors player Alvin Williams (July 2001)
On July 21, 2001, Toronto Raptors Guard, Alvin Williams made an appearance at an "I’m Committed" basketball camp event that reached out to over 40 kids. "I’m Committed" is a non-profit organization that specializes in bringing different people together and teaches the importance of education, hard work, professionalism, teamwork, success, and commitment, whether it be in school, sports, career, etc.. Williams was seen in PTR hoop gear signing autographs for many of the kids that attended. Temple standout Lynn Greer was also present at the event.


PTR Seen at 76ers Game (June 2001)
The 76’ers mascot, Hip Hop, along with his crew, were seen wearing Push the Rock hoop gear during pre-game warm-ups in a recent playoff game against the Milwaukee Bucks in Philadelphia. Hip Hop and his supporting crew members are known for their energy, excitement, and live acrobatic dunking routines that puts spectators at the edge of their seats.


PTR Pursues NBA Players (June 2001)
Push the Rock Outfitters has been pursuing NBA players to wear PTR apparel and they are close to affiliating themselves with some recognizable names in the league. PTR Outfitters CEO/President, Robert J. Holman, spoke of the current situation, "We are looking for that positive basketball player that is willing to step out in the community and make a difference. Someone that exudes hard work and dedication----b/c that’s what were all about." Currently, Tora Suber of the WNBA is a PTR spokesperson, and has helped spread the PTR name throughout the Women’s league.


Summer Involvement Set for PTR (June 2001)
Community involvement and sponsorship are important to PTR. Summer is always a great time for players to work on their game, making the off-season the real season. Summer 2001 PTR has been active sponsoring programs they believe in. Kids First, Inc., which runs 4 weeks of motivational basketball camps, outside of Philadelphia will be fully sponsored and outfitted with PTR hoop gear. West Chester Summer League has become Push the Rock Summer League through sponsorship. Lastly, PTR will be outfitting two teams that are a part of the Global Sports Academy (GSA), a Men’s and Women’s team that will travel in the US, in Belgium, and in the Netherlands. The 2 GSA teams, made up of college all-stars, will be sporting the latest PTR uniforms while they battle fierce competition on the court, and teach kids through clinics off the court.
