Topic: Dare to Dream
Diane brings together a wealth of experience in the areas of sports and entertainment marketing, management and production. Formerly, she served as President of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission; President of the Orlando Area Sports Commission; Executive Director of The Philadelphia Sports Congress and was one of the founders of the National Association of Sports Commissions. She prepared bids and hosted major sports events including U.S. Olympic and NCAA Championships; the Super Bowl, World Cup Soccer, professional All-Star Games and entertainment productions, such as the Grammy Awards, MTV Awards and the AFI Film Festival. Her company, red eye entertainment, created and produces the Dare to Dream Experience, which introduces high school and college students to jobs behind the scenes in sports and entertainment. She has produced a 20 minute documentary video and career guide, which lists various jobs, salary ranges, job descriptions and training required for jobs in sports, tv, radio, music, film and performing arts. Diane also shares her knowledge on how government plays a role in these industries and how cities and communities benefit from the economic impact of events.
